There are a lot of interviews up with survivors who are part of the Christian church. However, Jewish women can be victims also. Sex Workers Anonymous is not a religious program, although it is a spiritual program. One of our co-founders, Jaime, was Jewish. We have men and women of all religious belief's, and none. The choice of a higher power is individual within the 12 step program structure.

Within the sex trafficking world, there are not many Jewish based programs who get involved in this issue. I have seen the Federation of Jewish Women, but the Anti-Defamation League told me in an email they "did not want to discuss sex trafficking" with me whn I wrote in to their main office. Many of you have heard the name "Heidi Fleiss" who is Jewish. One does not know if her time in the sex industry was entirely voluntary. For one thing, she was mentored into the industry by Alex Adams, dubbed the "Mayflower Madam". However, Alex was an informant for over 10 years. She's the one who snitched on Heidi to get her arrested the first time. Alex would do that to any competitor. In the movie about her life, there was a reference to a threat given to her about not revealing any names. Charlie Sheen's name was not revealed by her - but by the police finding a check with his name on it. Considering he's now offering $20,000 to have his ex-girlfriend murdered, who knows if he might have been worried what she'd say back then.
I've spoken to many other of the "high class" madams about this issue, and so far every one of them agreed they had the same experiences with our government as I did - that our government was pumping them for information from their clients, using them to transmit information to some men for them, and to do various other tasks. When I was asked to sell women to them who would then be sold to Saudi Arabian, and Mexican, men for drug and oil deals - I refused. I've had people say "oh someone was pulling your leg". No - they showed me their operation and a plane of women being transported to show me not only how it was done, but that I couldn't do a thing to stop it as no one would believe me back then. When I refused - that's when all hell broke loose. Jeane Palfrey said the same thing happened to her as to why she got arrested also. Alex confirmed she had this experience also. As to other madams who are alive - I can't say. With Heidi however, we didn't speak much before her going to jail as the news has pointed out - she had a bit of a drug problem. I remember warning her that her girlfriend would "rat" on her, and that the police would arrest her parents. She accused me of being "crazy" and didn't want to hear about any of it.
Jacqueline also speaks about feeling a lack of support from her Jewish community in this interview. Now I've read that many Jewish men feel prostitution, and pornography, are "okay" and I understand that. But of all people, I would think they especially would understand the difference between voluntary sex work and the issue of being forced. While I have no problem with porn like Playboy, when you hear stories from women like Linda Lovelace saying she was forced to make "Deep Throat" by her husband pointing a gun at her from off camera, and no one on the set would step up to help her - well that's different than her making an adult film as a performer. I have no problem with the film "Deep Throat" and even saw it in the theaters when it first came out (I snuck in a back door being curious what everyone else was seeing in the film). But when I learned of this - well then it's a film of a woman being raped. Apples and oranges.
