Of course my luck is that the day the "light goes on" with me with respect to some of the concepts Tom was trying to raise awareness about - I learn he passed away two years ago.

So I'm writing to the survivors.  My name is Jody Williams.  Back in the 1980's, I was a young MENSA  member who graduated high school at 15 years of age because of a high IQ.  I enrolled in community college to prepare my way for the university, but I needed to get a job after my father robbed my college fund.

I got a job at a nightclub owned by the family who are part of the generational line connected to Richard Pryor of drug dealers, pimps and prostitutes . He's spoken openly about his grandmother running the brothel his mother worked in.  They needed a way to launder money and this was the club I walked into looking for a job in 1979.

I was "turned out" by this family of pimps into the sex industry.  However, after watching this "family" tore apart by the cocaine epidemic, I asked the head of the "family" to buy my way out safely.  I'd seen what they did to those who tried to leave on their own.  They agreed and I was now an "independent" in the industry.

Word spread on the streets and this is when the REAL predators came to prey upon me - the LAPD and the CIA.  They were working together in what we now know as Iran Contra.  The corrupt police officers who were part of flooding this country with cocaine, all while blaming the African American community for this scourge, also ran a sex trafficking ring.  They supplied drugs and prostitutes to the wealthy elite of Hollywood - knowing the film industry affects the way the people of the world think.  They also needed pretty prostitutes to carry the drugs from the projects into the homes and hotels of Bel Air, Beverly Hills, etc.,  Which is why all of us "madams" such as myself, Alex Adams, and Cheri Woods were called upon to be part of this agenda.

We all went along as we were making money.  But when we were asked to supply them with women who had no "family" to ask questions about their disappearance to be sold to Saudi oil men, and drug dealers, who liked "white women" and wanted to collect them like Scarface collected white tigers - we balked.  This is why you can read how all of the top madams in the country, including Sydney Biddle Barrow, the Mayflower Madam, were all arrested in 1984.

Our faces and names were spread all over the media to make sure we couldn't not only not get a 9 to 5 job outside of the sex industry, but to further scare away all of our "regulars" who didn't want to risk any of the press coming on to expose them.  They confiscated all of our money and property, all while threatening us with other criminal charges.  The point was to make us more "hungry" and thus more "compliant".

Movie and book contracts were offered to each of us to further ensure that "their" version of our stories were what went out to the press.  I was the only one of the bunch who insisted I would not allow propaganda to go out which wasn't revealing the "whole truth" about the sex industry, and what is now been defined by the term "sex trafficking".  I was then reminded I had signed a contract preventing me from speaking to the press without their consent.  In other words, I was being silenced legally in the form of a book and film option contract.  Clever.

Victims of this had no way out.  They couldn't call the police obviously for help as they were part of the problem.  Shelters weren't set up to protect us from the very systems funding their programs - who would then hand us over to them in two seconds if asked.  Their funding depended upon not "rocking the boat".  So I took an old warehouse I had once used as a brothel and created what I later learned was the first "safe house" for adults in this country.  I say "adults" because only one for juveniles had been created in 1979 by Lois Lee.  Since most of the people I saw being targeted by these predators were over 18 - we had a different issue which had to be addressed.

The next thing I know I'm being set up and arrested for supposedly "running a brothel".  They gave me a $50,000 bail so the media could print what they wanted them to print and I couldn't come out and explain what was really going on by speaking for myself.  When I showed there was no evidence to support this charge - they arrested my mother.  When we fought her arrest - they threatened my 70 year old grandmother they knew wouldn't survive an arrest because of her age and frail health.  So I gave them their pound of flesh for two years.

Coming back when I was off probation in 1987 and launching the first hotline and 12 step program designed to stop criminalizing these victims to further silence and control them.  We were successful.  Our program "worked" not only at getting people out of the sex industry, rescuing them from sex trafficking operations, but also at coordinating the people to see the Trafficking Act of 2000 pass.

I thought we had achieved success.  Sex trafficking in America was now legally recognized.  Funds were going to be used to help these victims.  Our program had chapters meeting in every major city of the USA generating recovery.  In fact, if you look at any recognized survivor of sex trafficking in this country who went on to create their own local program to help prostitutes - they all came from our program.  For the first time in history, this community was recognized as people needing help - not as "criminals" or "whores".  We had achieved what Bill Wilson had when he not only created AA - but put into our consciousness alcoholism was a disease - not a crime as had been tried with Prohibition.

Jeane Palfrey was the first of us to have the black and white proof of how madams in this country were being sex trafficked not by pimps - but by our own government.  She released her "Black Book" to prove not only this was real, but also to show the connection between her and Randall Tobias - the man who swooped in with the TVRA of 2003 - and "hijacked" this movement right out from under us real survivors.

Something the author of the Trafficking Act of 2000 himself, Michael Horowitz, has confirmed this movement has now been "hijacked by people seeking money and power".  Which happen to be the sex traffickers themselves.  Just as how in the day of Al Capone and Prohibition - the only ones being arrested were those in "competition" with the mob, which also wasn't even being acknowledged as 'real" back then either.  The reason the mob wasn't being acknowledged as real was because then it would become clear the only ones being arrested were those not feeding this criminal enterprise which had it's very roots in our courts, law enforcement, politicians and the church.  People who all profited by Prohibition while the alcoholic was still suffering and exploited.

Sure the grip on the alcoholic was released, and placed upon the addict.  When the grip off the addict was released - now the "prostitute" became the "victim de jour" to now be simultaneously criminalized, exploited, and demonized.  Something happened in 2008 - this is when I saw something happening which confused me at first.  The people we had helped to exit and recover from the sex industry, whether trafficked or not, had gone out to start local programs to provide services and resources we couldn't as a 12 step program.

In 2009, I watched as one by one each one of these programs were disbanded.  I watched as the founders were either murdered, framed, slandered, blackmailed, or just plain threatened right out of the field.  I saw a woman with no criminal history framed and sent off to prison for five years without a fair trial who had set up the first alternative sentencing program in Nevada.  They claimed it was "elder abuse" so she got no early release, no time off for good behavior, no reprieve.

While REAL survivors were being silenced, I then saw the 'catfish" phony ones coming up out of the woodwork.  The Samoly Mam's, Rachel Moran's, Chong Kim, William Hilliar, Stella Marr - all completely funded by the same people who were being not only the hijacking of this movement, but further connected to the sex industry itself.  Why?

For the same things which happened in Columbia in the 1990's - the inmates were now running the asylum.  In the 1990's if you tried to call and report something you knew to the authorities against the drug Cartel - they had systems in place to intercept those calls.  The caller then was met with either threats, or just plain whacked, depending on how much they knew or how much evidence they had against the Cartel.  The courts were so afraid to step against the Cartel - "faceless justice" committees had to be set up to try and hold up some accountability against them for their crimes.  Not just with respect to drug sales - but for things which have the Columbia people terrified and controlled.  The Cartel not only owned the soccer teams, but even the country's pharmacies, just to give you an idea about how much power they had.

We were pushed out of the criminal justice system as an "alternative" to incarceration.  If you look at the time period of the late 1980's through the mid-1990's - you do not hear one story breaking loose in the media about corruption and prostitution and/or sex trafficking.  After being pushed out of the system however, we are now hearing about Joohon David Lee and now Celeste Guap.  Celeste was supposedly not only being "bought" by men in police uniform, even Chiefs of Police, but further tipped off to trafficking activities so she herself could remain trapped.

Her mother was a 911 operator.  I've got a nice long list now of names of people who have called our hotline because they had tried to report sex trafficking to these new, well funded, "anti-trafficking task forces".  Only to be responded to the same way those in Columbia were responded to when they tried to "do the right thing" and report crimes they'd witnessed.  Celeste's mother being a 911 operator shows a system in place I'd like to know how a crime can be properly reported when there's a woman there knowing her very daughter's life is at stake should things go south.

What happened to Celeste shows we've lost control.  I've been trying for a few years now on behalf of many victims just like her all over the country to get them help.  I'd like to know how they're supposed to stop being prostituted, when the people behind them are most of the police force, the sheriff's office, even again going up to men such as Joohon who is in Homeland Security, ICE, and the trafficking task forces?  A man who walks victims right past LAX security into this country on plane tickets bought by our own government.  Further, a man for who I've been told we STILL have no laws on the books to even charge this man with any crime other than "bribery" who is now driving a limo in Las Vegas as what the justice system says is "throwing the book" at him.

I've knocked on the doors of our Attorney General, Kamala Harris, as well as our prosecutor's office, who has included Jackie Lacey, and Nancy O'Malley, and the Chief of Police, Internal Affairs, even our governor's office saying I need to speak to them about what these victims are saying is happening to them, and what we're going to do to provide them with help.  When I first started our program, I used to be able to put many of the victims into drug treatment where the HIPPA laws used to protect them from being found by these traffickers and drug back or worse as we saw with what happened to Jeane Palfrey.

Only to be ignored.  When the situation reached the point where Celeste's story hit the media, instead of her being referred to our program who has dealt successfully with victims just like her for 30 years - the same people who refused to help now step in to say "they're handling it".  Celeste was then sent to a treatment program which took a woman who was being raped for years by men in uniform that had security guards on the floor.  Guards who then took a woman turning to them for help and drug her off to be charged with assault.  Further given a $300,000 bail for the sole reason of silencing her to the media, as well as I'm sure doing to her what was done to me when I was arrested in the same manner in 1984 - to make sure she keeps her mouth shut about everything she knows.

A woman who if you look on her social media is clearly still being used as a prostitute.  Is this by choice?  I'd like to know what "choice" is it when she's being blocked from even speaking to our organization by again the very people who are supposed to be helping her such as the prosecutor's office.  One who seems more interested in grandstanding for the upcoming election than in doing what is needed to help Celeste.  If Nancy O'Malley's interest was in helping Celeste - she would have turned her over to our program with a 30 year track record long before now.  No - she would have taken our calls three years ago when we called about her plight, and that of many women in this country right now just like her.

I have gone down the line of speaking to these people.  I talked to the Attorney General's office who told me they can't do anything if the police aren't willing to put together an investigation and arrest the criminals.  I went to the police who told me they can't do this when they're going to risk their lives to put together a case - only to see it not taken to court because the prosecutor's office won't file.  The prosecutor's office has told me they don't see a point in filing when they know the judges are all either bought off, or too scared, to charge these criminals. The judge's tell me there's no point in going against the criminals when they know they're only going to be released early by an over-crowded correctional system which is now mostly for profit in this country.

We used to be able to get the media to put pressure on the system to "do the right thing".  We last saw this happen with the Chris Butler case.  No one wanted to touch the guy - until the press exposed what he was doing.  THEN we saw the operation he was involved with exposed.  I'm not going to say shut down - because he was just replaced with someone else.  That is what "racketeering" laws are about - when the people within the system are just spokes on the wheel of a machine which keeps running no matter how many spokes are replaced.

Now we have another stack of reporters telling us they can't report on what's going on for one reason or another - either they're scared of winding up like Gary Webb did with his head shot off, or they don't want to wind up on the unemployment line only posting videos on youtube because no news agency will hire them.

Is it important?  A reporter was confronted recently about why tapes concerning Donald Trump, a man running for the highest seat of power in this country, were not released sooner.  The reporter honestly said it wasn't released because of the stranglehold on the media for who if he had - then not only would no one have not heard it anyway, but that he would then be completely banned from working within the media again because the company producing the segment was also the same company producing the show with Donald Trump.  So yes - when this is affecting what we know about people running for President of this country then it is a "big deal" when the media is being choked.

Noam Chomsky has said "propaganda is to a democracy what a gun is to a dictator".  Only we the public are the ones being fired upon here. Now I don't care how well Celeste is treated at this point - the system itself which created this situation is not being addressed.  It was not being addressed when I started knocking on these doors a few years ago, when I was going to reporters telling me they're being silenced, nor is it being addressed now for the sake of all the other victims of sex trafficking, and the related corruption.

If I'm being told by every office within our legal and political system there's nothing they can do on their own because of how the other offices aren't cooperating with them for one reason or another - then what is the solution?  At first I thought applying the racketeering laws might be an answer.  When I turned to Kamala Harris' office and pushed on her to do this - she announced she's "running for senate" and put up her donation site.  Okay that's not a solution.

Then I thought maybe if we set up our own "faceless justice committee" who could do their job without fearing their children, or grandchildren, would be slaughtered on the way to school for doing so.  Who look to Mexico where 44 students have disappeared not long ago and no one is doing anything about this either they've lost so much control after having Pablo Escobar sitting in their Congress.

Only modern surveillance technology has created the environment where what worked in the 1990's for Columbia won't work in a day and age where our phones are the same as tracking and surveillance devices.

So what is a solution here to a train that's gone off the rails to bring things back on track?  I prayed for insight and believe it or not - I looked up and was watching an old Billy Jack movie.  I couldn't believe what I was seeing - absolutely everything I'm seeing now was in this 1970's movie which he wrote and directed to show the corruption behind a nuclear plant being built where he was wanting to instead build a youth center to help troubled kids.

In this film, he was talking about a "national referendum" was the solution.  I had no idea what this was and in fact don't remember anyone in this country, not even Obama, saying this term.  I'd like to know more about it so I looked up Tom Laughlin's contact information just now - only to find out he's passed.

So I'm going to hope this reaches some survivors over there who would be willing to talk to me more about this subject.  I was a kid when this film came out and all I remember about Billy Jack was the martial arts, the cool song, and the way he reminded me of an American "Kung Fu" version of David Carradine.  But clearly the man was ahead of his time.  I could see that when reading how he had to book his films into theaters himself at first.

Tom was clearly ahead of his time.  But for now - he's "right on time" with this idea.  Please get in touch with me so I can learn more about what a "national referendum" is.  Building nuclear plants is one thing - but when we've reached the point where our children are being trafficked and there's nothing that can be done to stop it, to where when their plight comes out to the light THEY'RE  the ones arrested, held on a $300,000 bail, and having their face plastered all over the media INSTEAD of the men who preyed upon her, and her family, as well as many others, then we need to do something different.

Maybe this is it.  Thank you for listening.

I was watching the documentary today about immigration into the USA today on KCET Link.  It started talking about Iran Contra - which as my followers know I witnessed was also involved in sex trafficking during the 1980's.  For those who don't know - a short version is the cocaine being brought into this country was sold to raise cash "off the books" to buy guns for the Contra's to fight the Sandinista's.  Now that I have known for 30 years.  What I did NOT know until tonight was that this was in Nicaragua!

Nor did I know that an international court found the USA guilty of these war crimes, and ordered the USA to allow the Nicaragua's to be able to immigrate into this country after the way we attacked their country illegally!

How ironic that years later we find that Celeste Guap has now been screwed by half of the police force, as well as trafficked by them.  Then instead of turning her over to for help to exit and recover from this - Nancy O'Malley tells the press "she's personally handling" her case.  Suddenly we find the police "took" Celeste to a treatment program in Florida that has SECURITY GUARDS.

Security guards who supposedly Celeste attacked and now sits in a Florida jail on a $300,000 bail.  I told myself when I heard that "been there done that" as this is just what they've done to me in 1984 you can read about at when I was accused of "running a brothel" that was actually a safe house I'd put together for victims when they couldn't run to the police because no one was believing us about what was happening to us!

As soon as I heard that  - I knew not only will we probably get her silenced now because of her "trial", but when I saw she was from Nicaragua I thought "I bet they're seeing if they can deport her family" or at least threaten to for leverage against her.

Then I heard tonight that the Sandanista's in Iran Contra were the soldiers in Nicaragua?  OMG - you can't write the irony of this stuff!

Celeste - if you read this - call me collect please (818) 646-3296.

Subject: FYI

Dear Chief of Police:

If it is, then please allow me to bring in a speaker from our program, to talk to your officers about the realities as WE face them out there in the sex industry.  Especially in southern California over the last 10 years.

No, dating back farther.  I myself had men from the CIA during what's now known as Iran Contra approach me to assist them in bringing cocaine into this country to raise cash to buy guns for the Contra's.  They would have the African American gangs process and cut the drug, while asking the escorts through the three madams who oversaw Los Angeles at the time to transport the drug to big Hollywood parties in their purses.  To pay for these large amounts of drugs, I helped to write the women and drugs into the budget of films.  If you've heard about the scandal in the 1980's connected to Paramount Studios - that was what I was involved in.  There were three madams back then - myself, Alex Adams and Cheri Woods.  We were the "google" of the 1980's.

You may have also heard of the Rampart lawsuits LAPD was dealing with.  The reason for this is the CIA operation had some cops helping out who could pretty much do whatever they wanted.  I was asked for sex by 1/2 of the police force for free upon demand and if I didn't deliver then I would be beaten, robbed, raped, and even arrested when I'd done nothing but say "no" to the demand for sex by these officers.  I mean who am I going to call when being raped by a cop?

The drugs were also transported by the police, or with a police escort.  When you mix in that kind of power, with heavy drugs, well after a while some of those cops feel like they can do whatever they want and that's what they did.  Some even set up their own escort service called "Talk of the Town".  If you were a wealthy, famous or powerful man in Hollywood - you either used their service, or you got busted for "solicitation".  The women who refused to work for them and pay them 1/2 of their money got busted for "prostitution".  Handy thing that law - the bad cops can ask you for whatever they want and if you said no - you're the "criminal" and it's over.

I really started to say "no" however when I was being asked to find women who could be sold outright to the wealthy Saudi's coming over here invading Los Angeles back then with their oil money.  When they found a girl they wanted, they'd drug her, put her on a diplomat's plane and she'd never be heard from again.  If you've seen the opening of Bruce Lee's "Enter The Dragon" I believe he was planning on saying something about this but he died three weeks before the film opened in 1973.

No one believed this sort of thing was happening back then.  Nor that Chuck Barris, producer of the Gong Show and the Newlywed Show was a CIA operative.  The "Dating Game" was used to scout for sexy women, with their audition tapes being shipped out to wealthy men all over the world.  I mean who would think to double-check who came back from those exotic "dates" Chuck chaperoned on?  He was a top Hollywood producer after all.

Say anything to anyone about this and they'd lock you up for psychiatric observation.  I know as I tried and almost got locked up myself by a doctor who thought I was hallucinating.  I recanted and realized the world wasn't going to believe the "word of a whore" as they told us when we also tried to tell the Hillside Strangler Task Force the address and names of the two pimps who were attacking, raping, and trafficking ordinary women and turning them into prostitutes so the police wouldn't follow up on their stories.  It worked.

I decided to turn an old brothel into the first "safe house" in this country for adults in 1984.  I had the cops who were angry I refused to sell them women, carry their drugs, and give them sex upon demand for free - decide to set me up with a woman who would claim I had pimped her out of this empty warehouse.  There was no evidence I was doing this as I wasn't - so the LAPD arrested my mother and charged her with pimping me in order to make something stick.

Of course the "dirty" cops were scared that I'd talk to the prosecutor who figured out something was fishy, so then they tried to murder me a few times.  They did to me what is being done to Celeste Guap - they raised my bail up to $50,000 thinking I'd never make bail and then try and "Sandra Bland" me in jail.   They then threatened every bailbondsman in town not to take my cash.  So I had a trick of mine put up his house to get me out to safety or I think I'd be dead now.  When they realized I was going to beat the case because I wasn't doing anything illegal - they arrested my mother and charged her with pimping me.

Enough was enough and in 1987 I launched the first hotline for those wanting to leave the sex industry to call in.  We also launched the first "alternative sentencing" program in the USA right here in Los Angeles.  It was so successful, I was asked to duplicate it back east.  After that, we were asked to do another in the midwest, then Canada, then Nevada.  A ten year study was done on us in fact published in "Leaving Prostitution" about how effective our work has been.  To date, we've answered over 500,000 calls - five times more than Polaris has taken today.  We're now the oldest, and largest, group of male, female and transgenders who have left the sex industry in the world.

I moved back to Los Angeles in 2013 after hearing many complaints about how the police are treating sex workers, and victims of sex trafficking, again.  In Wichita, Kansas, in 2013, nine massage parlors were shut down and three pimps arrested.  One of those pimps was Gary Kidgell.  Gary had married a women who now lives in Pasadena in order for her to get her passport into the states.  Gary also threatened to kill the judge, the arresting officer and the prosecutor in the Wichita, Kansas case.

When his ex-wife said she wanted to stop prostituting for the Triad as she's done since she was eight years old and she's now in her 50's, two Pasadena officers drug her out of her home and put two fake prostitution convictions on her record.  When she tried to complain, they threatened to do it a third time, then deport her to China, where their man with the Chinese government would see to it she got the death penalty for the porn photos they had drugged and posed her in with her sister.  A year after this, Liang Yaohui was arrested who was with the Chinese government while running over 3,000 escorts and a five star hotel.

When I went to see if these charges were in fact faked or real, I started receiving threats from Pasadena cops,  When I went to complain to the chief, those threats escalated to coming now from private investigators.  You know PI's like Greg Reese was with Kevin Brown who staged a completely fake rescue operation for the TV show "8 Minutes".

Produced by Relativity Media who had just partnered with a Chinese government owned film company, who also films "OC Jails", "Intervention", "Catfish" and "Gigolo's" in Nevada.  Their cameras by the way can be seen going into any jail, and any treatment program, without signed HIPPA releases or anyone waiving their right to an attorney.  I've also seen cops on their show forcibly dragging women off on 5150 charges - just like they threatened to do to me if I continued to try and help this woman, and the others complaining about they way they'd treated.  Kevin Brown had just retired as an OC sheriff after 20 years of service when he was now claiming to be running a "rescue" operation in southern California.  No one seemed to wonder why he never mentioned Sex Workers Anonymous for adults, nor the Children of the Night hotline - two groups who started the sex trafficking movement itself.

When I tried making a complaint to ICE and Homeland Security, I was further threatened.  Not even the Chief of Police would listen to my complaints about this trafficking operation, and the threats I'm now receiving for talking to victims calling our hotline talking about also being forced to prostitute by police officers just as I was 30 years ago.   So I filed a complaint with the Office of Professional Responsibility.  I guess the Chief had his hands full with the Paul Tanaka case.

When I went to the Dept. of Transportation and the LAX security, it brought back memories of when I'd seen women sold and put onto diplomat's planes.  I thought warning them to keep an eye out for these Chinese women would suffice.   I was wrong.   Seems Joohon David Lee, a Homeland Security, ICE and the trafficking office head was now walking women from Korea physically through the airport to ensure they'd make it past everyone who had been trained to be on the lookout for what is a "rogue" pimp - not a true trafficker who looks just like Joohon.

I was refused to input the training for the airport security about what trafficking looks like.  Instead they were taught about "pimps" - not men like Joohon or what to do when they see something like this:  Just as my calls to the trafficking task forces in Long Beach, San Diego, San Jose, Oakland, San Mateo, and of course Pasadena, and Orange County's trafficking task forces about what the victims are telling me calling our hotline.  See the Polaris National Trafficking Hotline just refers victims back to the local police.  Now if you're CALLING about the "local police" - then who do you call?  If you're calling about a pimp - you can get him arrested by calling 911 in two minutes.  But when you're calling about the police - well we've seen with Celeste Guap they aren't going to let you get help that easy now are they?   Not when they have too much they're worried about what you'll say if you get that help.

That's why instead of calling us when Celeste needed help and protection, nor allowed us to put her where we know she'll be treated well, they put her on a Florida flight where we're also getting calls from cops who are running a brothel down there masquerading itself as a "safe house for trafficking victims" while they sit in on the anti-trafficking meetings they threaten our members away from attending because God forbid they speak about the cops threatening sex workers to the others on the task force who think we don't exist because our members aren't there.

Just as when we tried to launch an outreach campaign last year and the year before, we started receiving threats from local officers, while Internal Affairs, and the Chief of Police refused to listen to the recordings of the threats we were receiving coming right out of the police stations to "back off" or find ourselves carted off for 72 hour "observations".  Since we've seen the police do just this falsely to a few people on Relativity Media's shows such as "intervention" - we believed the threats to be serious.

So I'd love to be out there offering to help those women in Glendale, especially when we're in the middle of an HIV epidemic that Charlie Sheen was so busy keeping under wraps about his status, that the fact we're now in an epidemic again like we saw in the 1980's has been validated to be infecting sex workers clear down to Mexico, and also Chinese and Korean men and women.  But you wouldn't know that since they stopped arresting juveniles a year ago - so we don't have any HIV rates for LA county's juveniles.  You know daughters who might be dating your sons and have no clue they're HIV positive because no one is out there doing any HIV/AIDS outreach any longer because every one's too busy looking for "trafficking victims" to realize that if they are infected, and they are being forced to prostitute - that again we're looking at another epidemic like we had in the 1980's and we need to have a serious talk about it soon.

I've got members who would love to do outreach to the local prostitutes, but we can't because of threats we're receiving again from people who are wearing badges.  With all the "john stings", the clients aren't exactly wanting to step up and tell you they're also being blackmailed, robbed, etc. by these traffickers.  Who not only are getting information about their bank accounts, their companies, but also about their houses.  So after they're cleaning out the john's bank accounts, they're then stealing the equity out of their homes.  The "johns" are too afraid to go to the police about it for fear they'll be arrested since that's all they hear about on the news anymore.

This is MADNESS.  Now if you want to be like the visionary that Tom Bradley, Chief Gates, and Sheriff Block was, and talk to us about letting us put together a program that will WORK again  - then you let me know.  Unlike this "end demand" nonsense  that APPEARS to be generating federal grant money and grants from Shawnee Hunt - it's costing you way more with respect to the damage to the health of this community, the citizens trust in the authorities, and honestly I feel like we're right where Mexico was when Pablo Escobar was in Congress, and the Colombian Cartel was running Columbia to the point where the only way they could be stopped was to create a "faceless justice committee".

Because right now I've spoken to just about every female FBI agent, Homeland Security, sheriff, city council, mayor, attorney general, and prosecutor who tells me they've been threatened and they're scared to do anything right now.  I mean look at Mayor Schaaf - she's gone through THREE Chief's of Police before she just stopped looking, Kamala Harris is bailing out of here for Congress, and we had a FBI agent have her witness "get lost" for three days and the only cop who was charged was the one who brought him a phone to call her for help?

To top it off, after all that work to get Joohon arrested and exposed - I now find out he CAN'T BE CHARGED with trafficking?  He's now driving a limo in Las Vegas where he now lives and will retire on his PENSION after what he did.  Probably the same limo owned by Charles Horky who was exposed as using his cab and limo company to traffick women in Las Vegas while Joohon was falsely locking up an innocent family to make himself appear to be "doing something to fight sex trafficking".

How many more FAKE victims, rescuers, and so called task force members are going to have to be exposed before someone realizes that when you want to help an alcoholic you call Alcoholics Anonymous, and when you want to help a sex workers, you call Sex Workers Anonymous? I'd appreciate it if someone would realize we're the only group out here not trying to get a federal grant, nor a piece Swanee Hunt's grant money, nor are we running a Kickstarter campaign, and we certainly don't have dirty laundry we're covering up like forcing local prostitutes to have sex with us.  I guess I have to become a neighborhood watch captain to get our complaints heard because when we were saying it was happening no one returned our calls.  But the minute a "watch captain" called - suddenly it comes to light that yes women were being forced to prostitute and have sex with LAPD officers.

Meaning don't you think this means that you can't have officers who are watching each other's backs, and prosecutors who are watching their backs, making real sure we're not even given a seat at any of these trafficking meetings - let alone are we getting any communication or assistance in just allowing us to do our normal outreach to help these women, men and transgenders?

SB1193 requires that signs be posted with the National Trafficking Hotline in all adult businesses in this state.  We've got signs donated to us with those hotlines, along with ours who doesn't go right back to the police so many people aren't just ignoring that poster - only I can't get anyone to answer me as to WHO we call to get the citation issues when a business owner doesn't want to comply with the law.  So if you know - that would be awesome of you to let us know so we can move forward with our outreach in this area.

You can reach us at the numbers on the enclosed flyers.  Thank you.

I wasn't sure who to believe when I started having people tell me Alex Jones was all about "disinformation".  But now I know after reading this  For the readers, I contacted Alex Jones last year about many things going on right now within our government in connection with sex trafficking and it's link to Jeane Palfrey.

I am the founder of the movement by the way.  You can go check news clips I have up at to see that in 1984 I created the first safe house for adults.  An angry pimp called the cops and claimed I was "running a brothel".  Yeah right - right next to the Van Nuys police station?  The victim testified against him and charges against me were dropped.

I did this because I had seen Linda Lovelace try and tell the public she was forced to film "Deep Throat" on a mob financed film by her husband/pimp pointing a gun at her while the crew did nothing to stop it.  No one believed her.  Witnessing women being sold for oil deals during Iran Contra, as well as Chuck Barris taking women on planes never to be seen again using the "Dating Game" as a front, I knew no one believed us so why would they help?  Well after that got me busted, I backed up to try another way.

In 1987, I launched the program "Prostitutes Anonymous" and the first hotline to call if you needed help to exit the sex industry.  We spent 13 years generating media with interviews from survivors that sex trafficking was real, that not all of us were the "Happy Hooker", and some of us needed help to exit the industry.  This led to the passing of the Trafficking Act of 2000.

After that, our program spread all across the country.   The internet had brought us the webcam studio - so in order to upgrade our program to include the internet sex worker - we changed our name in 1995 to Sex Workers Anonymous.   We were being used by every major court in the country for diversion and alternative sentencing.  I was approached by people ranging from professors, to producers, to law enforcement offering me money to share information on our callers and members - which I refused.

In 2002, Polaris launched the National Trafficking Hotline.  Since maybe 10 percent of the calls we received were about actual trafficking, I felt they'd be a great compliment to our hotline.  I was wrong.  From the first day their animosity towards us was clear.  They refused all phone calls which made no sense to me at first - especially when I saw them refusing to give out referrals to our program when they learned the caller was simply someone wanting help to exit the sex industry - not a true "trafficking victim".

They have now done everything possible to try and divert ALL calls to them -and recently partnered with Palantir Technologies - a data mining company for the CIA.  There is now a "mirror" site set up to mine where people's IP addresses are captured that are coming to our site.  In other words, they're able to trace who is contacting us by using this mirror site. I guess when I refused the offer to become a paid informant on our hotline - they just decided to form a monopoly and take over completely themselves.

Which by the way I am preparing a monopoly case as we speak against them for this reason.  Bradley Myles wife, Katherine Chon, is the director of the Trafficking in Persons Office who gives out the grant money.  Who of course gives out the grant money to Polaris, and all of Polaris' "partners".  Who now tell me they "can't speak to me or they'll lose their funding".  Since they have now partnered with Google, who also is Oculus, and the United Way - that means anyone in any government job is now telling me they can't even speak to us or they'll lose their job and/or funding.

Then the "hijacking" of the movement hit in 2003.  The TVRA of 2003 was written by Randall Tobias, and pushed through by Bush.  The wording was clear - the federal money I had spent 15 years now of my life achieving for these victims, and demanding our system create programs for them, was all just handed over to the "faith based" community who hated us to begin with. Yes the same people who used to organize rallies to chase us out of town like cockroaches - was now put in charge of helping us?  Not having a clue how to help us, nor wanting to - we began to be flooded with "awareness" campaigns which bore as much resemblance to reality as "Reefer Madness" did about marijuana use.

I had established sex trafficking was real.  There was no more denial of it.  Now, like how big tobacco used to deceive us through their "prevention" campaigns while they were denying their product was addictive and harmful while silencing any research to the contrary, and the voices of their victims - the CIA moved in and took advance of this money and link to the church to start pumping out propaganda that looks just like the "No Such Thing" campaign.  It isn't our voices, but that of high dollar politics putting on the face of African American girls as the victims and African American men as the "traffickers".  Experts in brainwashing - they just made it appear that "trafficking" was the new pc word for "pimp".  People knew pimps and accepted the pimp archetype - so being told that "trafficker" was the new polite word - people bought it.

Never once thinking I didn't create this movement to address pimps.  Why?  WE HAD LAWS TO ADDRESS PIMPS.  Back in 1987, we had laws against pimps and panderers.  All a woman had to do was call 911 say this guy was pimping her - end of problem.  No - the ones I was saying we needed help to escape was the men within our own government I saw loading women onto those diplomat planes, or who were being tricked onto planes in broad daylight by Chuck Barris - a CIA operative.  I also needed our mental health community to understand when we would talk about seeing such things - we were not "crazy".

Jeane Palfrey was a trafficking victim.   According to all this media being pumped out courtesy of Polaris, Bush, and Tobias on this being about prostitution and not about ANY of us being forced to be in the industry in any capacity such as a madam - Jeane didn't exist as a trafficking victim.  Montogomery himself confirmed what she told me - which was every six months someone from our government would come and pump her for information on her clients, and then also use her to set people up.  Brandy Britton had been seeing David Vitter and she was also found dead before she could testify at her trial.  She told me they had done to her what had been done to me - her death was used to intimidate her into compliance and silence.   Her defense at trial wasn't what the media portrayed it as.  Her defense was she had been forced to be a madam by our government so why should she go to prison?

I was in constantly daily contact with Jeane from the date of her arrest to the night before her death.  When ABC asked to see her book, I remembered how files had disappeared in the Omaha Franklin case with them.  I also remembered how they had ripped me off in 1995 doing a film about a rescue I'd helped a mother do in Canada.  So I was the one who told her not to give them the originals - but to spread it out to other sources.  I then watched dumb founded as Dan Rather said straight faced to the camera "there are no names of significance here".

Luckily, we had given other copies to people like the "Smoking Gun" who said "not so fast" and made them retract their original statement.  They released the names of Randall Tobias and David Vitter.  I have a copy of her "Black Book".  To try and make her take a plea bargain - these people got Montgomery Sibley, her attorney, disbarred and chased him into Florida.   She had been talking to Larry Flynt about the million dollar reward for proof of government corruption.  Jeane had also been talking to a writer who was working on her book.  With the million dollars, her and I had plans to make a movie about the things we'd seen and were going to call it "Mad Madam Productions".  She was hopeful of the future.  I had suggested she just take her sentence, shut her mouth, and disappear like I did for a few years when I had powerful men trying to silence me in fear of what I knew and might say and she told me "where am I going to hide in this post 9/11 world?"  She had a point.  She felt the only way out of this alive was to be as open as possible.

She had told me she "saved a few choice names for last" on the hopes her case might get dismissed.  The plan was if found guilty - she was going to call a press conference to release the "really big names".  The day before her death she was being followed.  Even security at her garage noted she was being followed.  For that reason, she loaded up her files into her car and went to her mother's house.  I had suggested a hotel under a fake name but she told me she was worried they'd just come for her mother who lived alone.  In wanting to protect her mother - she went there.  I had remembered the advice my attorney told me when these men were trying to murder me also, and one woman and man were already dead behind me, which was to "not leave the house".  He warned me "they will try and lure you outside" which in my case there were three attempts to lure me out of my grandmother's house.  I refused to go.  Remembering this advice I warned her "don't leave the house no matter what".  She agreed.

Of course she made arrangements for her death with her mother.  She was in a high profile case where other women directly linked to it already had been found hung - Britton and the Baton Rouge Madam.  I had almost been murdered in my case and Heidi Fleiss had been threatened into silence also.  So had Kristin Davis in Eliot Spitzer's case.  It's very common knowledge we're in mortal danger so why wouldn't she think to make arrangements for her death with her mother during such a time?

She had told me she was going to call a press conference in the morning and told me the name of who she was going to reveal.  Remember, she had an ethics hearing coming up she was supposed to testify at also about the names she had already released.  Ted Cruz was not in that list of names she'd already revealed.

After the news was pronouncing her a suicide before there was even a toxicology report in to see if she had been drugged or poisoned, I called down to Florida and asked to speak to the lead detective on her case.  I demanded the shed be dusted for fingerprints, her body tested for drugs, and I wanted to see a full murder investigation.  I was friends still with Geraldo then, and told him if they did not treat this like a murder and properly investigate her case - I would go on Geraldo's show with the last two years of calls, texts and emails between us showing she was not suicidal.

Her own mother had initially said she thought it was murder and then retracted it.  When I called her to ask her why - she said she was "scared they'd come back for her otherwise".  I understood.  The next morning after I spoke to this Florida Detective, I came home from a doctor's appointment to find five police cars and a drug dog waiting in front of my apartment.  They had a warrant signed by a local restaurant where I had paid for food delivery using a debit card.  The charge cleared.  The owner told me the cops came to his restaurant and had asked if I'd shown a drivers license.  He said "no" and they made him sign a complaint of suspicion I was "impersonating" myself.  A judge signed this silly warrant and these cops proceeded to toss my home clearly looking for illegal drugs to bust me on.  When they found nothing they called CPS and claimed I "had a child in an uninhabitable home".  Mind you - they were the ones who had just torn my house to shreds.  Luckily, CPS gave me 5 hours to clean it up.  I did and they had no choice but to leave.  One of the cops turned back to me and said "I'll be back bitch".

I called the local police station and asked the dispatcher what she knew.  She told me a call had come in from Florida that had set these cops off.  My landlord then came to me the next day saying the cops had told him I had trashed the apartment and to evict me.  He looked around and said "this looks fine - why would the cop lie to me?"  I told him I had no idea.  But then the next day he comes back saying "this cop sure wants me to throw you out - he's threatening to hit me with zoning violations".  He told me I could stay, he wasn't trying to kick me out, but thought I should know this guy sounded like he wanted to hurt me.  I moved.

Not 20 minutes after I had moved into a motel across town there's a knock on the door. I thought it was the movers and opened the door.  It was the cop.  He asked to come in.  I was a victim of Rampart LAPD where they kept trying to plant drugs on me so I refused.  I told him he could speak to me in the parking lot where security cameras could keep an eye on him unless he had another bogus warrant.  That pissed him off and he said "I'm coming back and when I do - you're going to jail bitch".  I literally left the county that night.

The cop then reported to my bank I was impersonating myself so they shut down my bank account.  He reported to Social Security I was impersonating myself and I wound losing my income for 2 months behind this.  I had to go off the grid in fear.  Now if she had killed herself - why was I having to go live underground in fear of these cops?  I should have gone on Geraldo, but by this point I was afraid to leave her alone with anyone to travel to the show.  I noticed Geraldo doesn't return my calls since this event.

I interviewed Montogomery about recent events involving other victims of a trafficking operation going on right now in this country where I can't get anyone to speak to me about the case.  Not the media, not politicians, not law enforcement, not Homeland Security, not ICE, and the FBI told me "if these traffickers were Muslim I could help you".  He told me he "wanted to lead a quiet civilian life".  Next thing I know he's out here talking about Jeane's Black Book?  Wouldn't have anything to do with his "gofundme" campaign to "raise money for legal fees to get her book released from the gag order" right ?  Which even the commenters went "dude you're a lawyer wtf?"

The cop chasing me did not let up until one day it was just over.  I wondered what had changed and went online to learn Montgomery had just uploaded a book on Amazon about her death being a suicide.  I called him and ripped into him about why would he say such a thing?  She gave her life to try and educate us as to what trafficking is in this country, and the connections to the Bush family.  I had been living underground and going to food banks over this case and he just sells out?  Why?  He said "I wanted to just move on with my life and be normal".  Well great.   This is what he told me anyway in an interview he gave me on her -

So which is it then Montogomery?  Suicide or murder?    I've never changed my position this was murder - ever.
Now I had started talking to Alex Jones last year about this very issue, so he knows full well that I was friends with Jeane, and that I have a copy of her Black Book.  I know the name she was planning to reveal before her death.  Yet he runs this story that the name was Ted Cruz.  Think logically here for a moment - why would Ted Cruz kill her?  I also don't see two other dead hookers behind Ted either.  What connection does Ted have to sex trafficking?  Randall Tobias is the one who came in busting with the TVRA of 2003 and hijacked this movement out from under me to the church.  The church who is covering for the CIA what with William Boykin and Kay Hiramine.  David Vitter has two other dead hookers behind him and he's been pushing for the craziest sounding immigration laws down in Arizona where I know we have the worst trafficking problem in the country from what I'm hearing on my hotline.  We have a dead trafficking officer down there who was also found hung before he could testify - Officer Armendariz.   Jeane was murdered before she could testify about THOSE names - not Ted Cruz.

But Alex Jones comes running out here waving the name of "Ted Cruz" without even consulting with me to see what I think about that name?   He knows how to reach me.  I also don't believe he's that stupid - whoever killed her was someone who wanted to silence her.  Why would Ted want to silence her?

It's things like this why I've studied the UFO movement and their "disinformation" campaigns because it's the same exact playbook used in this field.

Ted Cruz is NOT who I'm terrified is going to win this election.  There is not one shred of proof about this name except what Montgomery said.  But he's the guy who authored a book that she killed herself - so now we're going to believe him without independent verification?

This is publicity pure and simple.  I saw Montgomery running around with a "gofundme" to get up money for legal fees to have the book released.  I contacted him and said "I have a copy" and we didn't need to do all this - I'd be happy to send him one over.  Now this bullshit?

Well you know what PT Barnum said - there's a sucker born every minute.

EL CHAPO AND THE MOVIE INDUSTRY  After reading that El Chapo was arrested shortly after talking about making a movie on his life - I'm not surprised.  But I also may have a different view on things than other people do right now.  Especially since I've been working on a project documenting how the movie industry has been deliberately covering up the issue of American women being victims of sex trafficking since as far back as the 1960's from what I've been uncovering.

First of all  - John Gotti got his nickname the "Teflon Don" because law enforcement could not catch this man.  To have his business meetings, he used to pay the rent on an old woman's apartment who was always home.  Then when he wanted to hold a meeting - he would have her take a walk and enjoy a bug free environment to discuss whatever he wanted to without fear of being recorded.   There was a comedy made in 2004 about how he finally got taken down called "The Last Shot"  Only the ending wasn't so funny where Alec Baldwin's character was pitching the FBI about the benefits of funding film production in order to get mobsters to spill their guts.

I remember watching "The Mob Wives" when they first came out.  Sure enough - as filming is going along I'm hearing this one arrested, and that one arrested  I'm not surprised.  Ever see one of these contracts?  You give these people permission to record every detail of your life.  The tapes by the way can be given to anyone - including law enforcement who now doesn't need a warrant to get the camera into your house or taping your phone calls because you just gave that permission to the producers to do the same thing.

It amazes me how people will say "I would never snitch" and then they sign contracts allowing people to tape record every detail of their lives - and then act surprised when their husband, father, etc., living in the same house gets arrested.  Rene - you took money to allow cameras into your life.  You may not call that a "snitch" but one has to wonder if those people would have been arrested without all those cameras everywhere recording everything and then going out on TV.  I mean what - because you didn't do it under threat of arrest it's not "snitching"?

I hear about a Hell's Angel reality show and voila!

This pattern isn't just known criminals either.  There's even housewives and their husbands being arrested.

Is this accidental?  Hell no.  I heard an interview with a reality show producer who said he wanted to get Whitey Bulger on camera - but he refused.  So he said he learned to go to "fringe wannabe's" and get them on camera.  He said they'll "spill the beans".  Whitey wasn't arrested by the way until AFTER the reality show featuring his underlings was produced.

I'm sorry but I was raised "old school" with respect to crime - which is you don't let anyone record you.  If you look at my news clips of my arrest here at you'll notice a definite lack of my photo in any of the news articles.  Why?  My attorney had enough sense to pay the reporters not to put my picture in the news that's why.  When I asked him why he did that he said very directly "because people who get their face on the news go to jail for a long long time and I want you to walk".  I walked.

Now granted, I wound up losing everything I owned.  The rub was a lot of the things I bought I had bought with "legit" money I earned from the 900 phone sex operation we set up that was the first in the country by the way according to the only switchboard company in the country who told me this.  I also had a lot given to me as gifts.  However, the police still took it.  When I told my attorney I wanted to get it back he advised me "leave it alone".  I said "why?"  He said "because you have to then prove where every penny came from that bought this stuff and that you don't want to drag into public record".  He had a point so I let it all go.

Which is why I felt bad about Kate Del Castillo being charged with money laundering over her interview with El Chapo.  Why was she charged with money laundering when she's clearly innocent? (There's no way I believe she would be dumb enough to take money from him on such a high profile case - she's not that stupid.)

Simple.  Because then the police can jack her up about every penny she's made for the last five years, and if she does anything they don't want her to do - they can jack her up some more.  It's clearly about control.

Why?  Because the interview said "El Chapo" had reached out to her for one reason - he wanted to have a movie done that told the "whole truth".  Now why would that be soooo important to him he would reach out to a relatively novice actress instead of someone like Oliver Stone or Sean Penn first?

I'll tell you why.  When I was first arrested and I was being blasted all over the news as "The High Tech Madam" I had producers stampeding at me offering me contracts to make a movie.  Not a one of them however offered me CASH except one.  It was Republic Pictures.  They offered me a $5000 advance for a year's option to make a movie about my life.  I took the cash - not thinking of anything else.  Republic was a big studio and remember there was no internet nor any IMDB back then.

During that year, I was contacted by a lot of talk shows, news stations, etc., for interviews.  However, this contract said I had to clear every interview by the producers.  Each time I called them they kept saying "no".  When I asked why - they said "because anything you say in the press becomes public record and then another producer can make the film without us or you".  Sounded good.  So I turned down a  load of interviews that first year because I had signed a binding contract.

That was 1984 to 1985.  Alex Adams, the Mayflower Madam,   was also arrested in 1984 as was Sydney "The Mayflower Madam".  These madams signed movie contracts also.

Now - they both had movies made but I didn't.  Strange huh?  Didn't even mention a word about the fact Alex and I were arrested together in Beverly Hills either.  So I watched the films and what a load of baloney.  Total bullshit.  Yes they showed all the cars, money, high powered clients - but they weren't showing anything about Iran Contra, Chuck Barris using "The Dating Game" as a front for the sex trafficking of women into other countries again at an age before video cameras or the internet.  Nothing about the fact we all were approached by the CIA to sell women to wealthy drug dealers, Saudi Arabian royalty, and to seal oil deals with men who wanted "white women" to abuse in ways they'd never abuse their own kind.  Some drug dealers wanted a tiger in the yard while others wanted a white woman walking around.    What a "fuck you" to America to steal it's women for oil.

Could we do a damn thing about it?  Yeah right I'm going to call the police and say "hey they're loading women onto a diplomat's plane to go off to some wealthy sultan who likes white girls" or better yet "The Dating Game" is getting women into other countries who are disappearing.   Something by the way I was insisting to my producers I wanted shown in my film.  My movie didn't get made - but this "inphomercial" for the sex industry was with Alex and Sydney's movies.

So the year is up and it's now 1986.  They come to me with another $5000 and tell me they need "another year" to get the project going.  Telling me they couldn't come out with three madam movies in one year you know.  Made sense so I signed.   No movie made.

Third year comes.  It's now 1987 and I've been continuing to get calls about women being kidnapped, raped, murdered, and sold who have no where to turn for help because no one is believing what's happening to them.  Now I know producers and I don't understand why I've now got $10,000 and no movie is being made.  They've had me talking to writer after writer.  I've made hours and hours and hours of tapes about my life story.  But no script was made.

I picked up a book on how to write a script.  There was nothing in the book about months of interviews telling every detail of my life story.  If anything, I'm reading that's not how you write a script.  I"m also hearing about movies being made in one week - so what's taking so long with mine?  No one, and I mean no one in Hollywood is coughing up cash on a movie they're not making and then on top of that, telling me NOT to go onto TV to stir up interest in the project.

I remembered a director's name.  I had thrown up my "Black Book" but I'd seen this guy so many times I knew his phone number and name by heart.  He had worked on just about every movie in some way - director, producer, extra, writer, PA, you name it.  I called up the guy and asked him if he could ask around for me what was going on.  He said sure.

A week later he calls me.  "Yep you just signed a gag order".  I'm like "gag order?"  He says "yeah you signed a contract stating you wouldn't speak to any other press without their consent and guess what they're doing?  They're gagging you."

Then he starts laughing at me.  "Jody you do know Republic Pictures only distributes John Wayne movies now right?"  I'm like "no - why would I know that?"   He sends me down to French's which is a movie industry bookstore and has me get a book on production companies.  Seems he was right - Republic Pictures had bought up all of the John Wayne films and that was pretty much what they were airing then.  Made sense - why would they (1) have me sign this contract, and (2) have me spill out my guts about everything I've ever seen, had happen to me, who I know, etc., onto these tapes when that's not how a script is written for a film.

I hadn't spoken to Alex or Sydney so I looked them up and called.  I asked both "Why did you make a movie that showed only a fraction of the reality of our world?"  Their answer was simple and to the point "money".  I then asked "Don't you care that the movie doesn't have any semblance to the reality?  Don't you care that some other young girl is out there going to think that's what thiSos life is?"

Not long after that Heidi Fleiss was arrested - another victim of Alex Adams' snitching AND her sales pitching the sex industry in all it's glory, but not all of the reality.

I then was smarter about movie contracts - but that didn't stop me from getting screwed over.  About 1994 the internet was starting to take off.  Guess what?  Making it pretty easy for me to find runaway young girls advertising they were prostituting online in those days.  In fact, I'm getting about a call a week from a mom asking me to help find her daughter.  I was having her mail me her photo (we didn't really have scanning yet then) and viola!  Usually a couple of hours of research and I"m finding their daughter.  So many moms we were helping - I got a call from a mom in Canada saying she was having trouble finding her daughter.  Only her daughter wasn't advertising online as she was with a very infamous street pimp who they suspected had murdered even a couple of prostitutes.  She was telling me the police were refusing to help her find her daughter because of how violent this pimp was reported to be.  So she's asking me for my help.  I had just had my daughter and not able to travel - so I gave her this advice.

I told her to dress up like the other hookers, and go out on the stroll and pretend to be a hooker.  I told her to give it about two weeks and that one of the women would probably tell her where her daughter was once she thought she was "one of them".   It worked and she was reunited with her daughter.  Turns out he had murdered at least three prostitutes.

So to promote our hotline, and to try and help other mothers, we go on the Sally Jesse Raphael show.  Only I was still not able to travel.  So Paige Latin, our chapter head for Canada at that time goes instead with the mother and the teen.   After stepping off the stage to tell the story - a producer comes down offering a movie contract.  We all signed the contracts under one condition and one condition only - the film had to air our hotline phone # at the end of the film.  Remember, we were just starting to have an internet in 1994.

I spent six weeks working with the writer on the film.  As I'm waiting to get my plane ticket to go onto the set - I get a call from Paige asking me if I knew filming had started.  No I had not.  Nor was I told when the film would air.  I actually lucked upon it airing in 1995.  Lindsey Wagner played the mother (The Bionic Woman).

The film turned me into an African American social worker.  Not one mention of Prostitutes Anonymous in the film.  Not one.  So let me get this straight - without being paid a penny I help this woman get her daughter back from a violent murdering pimp when no one else would help her and in return I get fucked out of some publicity for the hotline that helped her so we can help other mothers?  Oh and the pimp in the film they made blond and blue-eyed.  When I asked the writer why he did that he said they "didn't want to appear racist".  He was African American so I don't know what is racist about the truth.

I've had 100 meetings with producers over the years prior to the Trafficking Act of 2000 being passed.  They all said the same thing about the sex trafficking, and the pimp story "no one wants to hear about that stuff" and "that's too dark - no one will watch something that dark" and "most people won't believe that" and just 100 excuses about why they wanted to not tell the WHOLE truth.

Which included when the drugs were brought into the country - those same planes and boats were also carrying women on them back to the country the drugs came from sometimes.   That prostitutes were a part of the drug war.  Dealers used prostitutes to mule the drugs.  Dealers used prostitutes to sell their drugs.  Dealers used prostitutes to push their drugs onto "johns" so if anything went down with the cop - she'd be the one talking the fall - not the dealers.

In other words, anywhere you have drug trafficking - you have sex trafficking or prostitution in some form.  Which is why when I saw Rick "Freeway" Ross coming forward with his story about Iran Contra - I thought "great".  I mean what a "look at the other side of the mirror" if we were to pair his story up about the drugs of Iran Contra - with my side of how madams were contacted by the dealers and talked into the escorts carrying the drugs into the Bel Air homes of producers, directors, etc.  I mean it wasn't a gang member that brought kilo's of cocaine into the Beverly Hilton Hotel - it was in escort's purses.

Here's how it works -  Drugs taken from competitor drug dealers is put into police evidence.  Then it's put into a cops car marked "Evidence" so he doesn't get busted.  From there it's given to the prostitutes to sell to the johns through the massage parlors as this story illustrates.  Nothing new.

So when I heard Gary Webb had first broke the story - I thought "here's my chance to tell the story".  Only by the time I contacted him - he was found dead from two shotgun blasts to the head.

I then did the next best thing - I contacted Cathy Scott who had written Rick Ross' story.  Including how the government had tried to put him in jail for the rest of his life using an informant to set him up on a drug charge to silence him from telling his story.    Only she said "good luck getting someone to write this story after Gary Webb's death".  I asked what she meant by that and she brought up his supposed suicide and laughed saying "no one is going to touch that story after that".  She blocked me the day of Anne Rule's death (a mutual friend) after that.  Anne has been encouraging me to write the story myself and self-publish it.  She even said she'd read it when I was done with the draft to encourage me.   Nice lady.

I've read Rick's book and seen his move, as I have a lot of other films about the Iran Contra situation and there is a clear absence of any discussion about the connection between drugs and prostitution as well as trafficking.   It's like a table with only two legs.  I mean the legs do belong on the table - but there's still two more missing.

So needless to say I can totally "get" why El Chapo would find the "truth" being the most important thing to him in having a film made about his story.

I also know that's why Kate has the police on her  ass right now making she does doesn't.  Already we're hearing a schism here between Sean Penn's version on reality and hers.

If you ask me Pablo Escobar was murdered by our government rather than stand trial because of what he would say about our government's involvement in his drug empire.  I also think it was horrible the way his family was penalized for what he did.  I mean how were they supposed to leave him knowing they'd be murdered the minute they left his protection during that time?  What - his son is going to get a job at a Walmart and his wife a job as a cleaning woman while the Colombian Cartel is looking for a way to bring him down?  Give me a break.  They were trapped.

I know the feeling.  You might not like where you are - but you know if you leave your dead.  Not really a choice.

I have seen book projects where the authors have said the publishers altered their works because it wasn't "politically correct" even though it was the truth.

Which is why I worked hard to set aside the last year and this year to be working on writing my own memoirs and my own script on my experiences - not just in the underworld of illegal sex and drugs but about the trafficking movement and it's twists and turns I've been on this ride with over the years.  We at least have the internet and youtube - meaning we can at least publish it ourselves for now.

Until they take that voice away.

As the founder of the modern day sex trafficking movement itself I'd like to weigh in.

Going back in history I take you to 1980. This is when Linda Lovelace released the book “'Ordeal”. This outlined the film “Deep Throat” was made with mob financing, and she was forced to be in the film with her pimp pointing a gun at her from off camera. Now the anti-porn people scooped her up to be their “poster child” to outlaw porn instead of changing the working conditions on porn sets so this type of thing couldn't happen again. Her statements were fought harshly by the porn industry who obviously had an “image” to protect. To point out many “loved” making these types of films – they pulled out Marilyn Chambers to counter Linda in the press as making porn films “voluntarily”. The pimp, Chuck Traynor, had moved on to now “manage” Marilyn who was now making these claims. Of course she was also promoting her film at the same time. So the more she talked about “loving it' – the more money she also made.

Now that she's deceased – I can point out from behind the scenes the public may not be aware Chuck was controlling Marilyn through her drug addiction. If she wanted that next “fix” - then she was going to play along and smile while she made more movies. Those who wanted to work in the industry again whether that be as a cameraman, sound, lighting, make-up, etc. also kept their mouths shut or defended the industry fiercely. I point this out for a couple of reasons. That being you aren't going to find out the “truth” about an industry while the person you're asking is still financially dependent upon that industry or if interviewed while their boss is still standing there. Those who wanted to keep working in porn during this time period with Marilyn – kept their mouths shut. But I ask you if you consider her making the films because of her drug addiction “voluntarily”?

Would it matter of Marilyn was a secretary who was using her paycheck to buy drugs? I contrast the story of these two women to illustrate my point. By having this discussion in this manner we are viewing the sex industry as different than any industry. The reality is, like it or not, it is an industry. As any industry, there are going to be people being forced to work there by human traffickers. I don't care if that industry is blood diamonds, farming, hotels, meat packing, a legal brothel in Nevada or a porn set in Canoga Park. There will be some elements of human trafficking, as well as some who are there by force caused by drug addiction, mental illness and/or not having other economic choices. The problems come when we stop looking at this like the industry it is because the work involves sex.

But an industry it is – and a big one. I point to the Tobacco Industry. Now did we know the truth about tobacco even from so called “experts” until the truth was leaked to us by an “insider”? An insider who was severely threatened about his life and also his career? I say this because if the tobacco industry was going to lie to the public, and even bring in experts also to congressional hearings to claim their product was “not addictive” and did not “cause cancer” - then do you really think that the truth about the sex industry is all that easy to get at? Meaning outsiders don't know the truth. Those working in the industry actively are going to say what it takes to keep working in that industry. But only those who have been in this industry and who have now LEFT will be able to give you honest perspectives.

Remember, sex work is more than just prostitution also. The sex industry includes stripping, webcam studios, phone sex, pornography production both still photos and video, legal brothels in Nevada, sex clubs such as the Green Door, dungeons, fetish work such as “smashing”, and even “peep shows” where you pay to watch other people or even simply talking to you. It even includes sites such as “Sugar Daddy” where one pays by the month rather than the hour. Which is why I've refused to agree with certain people who want to call “sex work” as “rape”.

Rape implies intercourse. However, there are many types of businesses within the industry that do not involve physical intercourse. Let's take companies who sell “dirty underwear” for example or even being a “madam”. There's also “house mothers” who manage the strippers in a club and the women who handle the phone dispatching for the escort services. Just as rape appears to be about sex on the surface – so too does the sex industry also have that appearance yet deception.

Which is why I argue with those who insist sex work is about “what goes on between two consenting adults” as men like David Vitter and Eliot Spitzer like to fall back upon when caught with a prostitute. The minute you CHARGE for something it no longer is a private sexual act. As an example, I can serve food out of my kitchen day and night if I want to. No one should be able to stop me. But the minute I CHARGE for this food – then I become subject to the laws that govern a commercial kitchen and/or restaurant. The same holds true when “commercializing” the sexual acts in various forms.

Which also brings up the issue of “conflict of interest”. Meaning if I'm a health inspector for restaurants – then should I be the one who is in charge of judging my competitors, as well as my own restaurant? Wouldn't that “conflict of interest” possibly color my reports to try and run my competitors out of business while protecting my own? Which is why I draw a very severe line when it comes to people within law enforcement, politics, and even the media being in positions of power with respect to the sex industry while also purchasing, and/or selling, it's products. I ask you – would we as the general public really hear the truth about the industry while men like Steve Sassa was the CEO of Hearst Media? Further, is Eliot Spitzer going to be someone a victim of trafficking can turn to if he's more concerned with protecting his own family and career over the victims' needs?

Which is why I think the issue of writing laws with respect to the sex industry and/or trafficking works both ways. I think those who are involved in some fashion need to disclose this fact when involved in the issue of writing laws. Just as I would expect that if one was writing laws with respect to the tobacco industry it should be disclosed if one owns a tobacco company at the same time or even smokes. For that reason, I invite those hearing this letter to state their relationship with the sex industry for the record.

So we need to look at the providers, as well as the law makers, the customers and even the general public when it comes to the issue of “prostitution” vs. “trafficking” in order to understand it. When it came to Linda's claims the general public wasn't ready to believe they had “partied” to a film where they were watching a woman being forced to have sex at gunpoint. So they shouted out at her on talk shows “liar” and “boo'd” her to not accept her story. Her pimp had kicked her a lot, and she'd done a lot of drugs – so the touring to do public speaking to try and outlaw porn took it's toll. She needed money for a transplant. The porn industry had turned on her feeling “betrayed” she revealed secrets about them while the anti-porn people abandoned her once she was no longer useful.

Needing $10,000 for a transplant – Linda actually returned to the industry “voluntarily” to make another XXX film. The industry then used that to claim that NO ONE was forced to make films and her statements were false. I think Linda's story told us about the issues of “force” vs. “non-force” very well with respect to the porn industry when at one point she was not the one consenting vs. the time when she was. But because of the way she had told her story – it changed nothing so that others could be prevented from being forced to work in the industry as she once had been. She had focused on trying to stamp out the industry rather than in improving the working conditions in other words to ensure sex work was consensual. That is why she failed – and we need to learn from her mistake.

Having in the back of my mind how the public didn't believe her claims, and also remembering how everyone wrote off her story as being about “selling a book” - I had to think about the public's lack of belief in 1983 when I set up what was the “first adult safe house”. If you look at the clips at you'll see what was called a “brothel two blocks from the Van Nuys police station”. Only it talks about how it was a warehouse, and had “high tech security equipment” which included iron bars, and a CCTV system.

The reason I got a warehouse is so that if shots were fired – innocent children wouldn't be hit. It was by the police station to deter a lot of attacks and the cameras were to record what went down if the men who would sometimes attack the warehouse with AK47's ever got in – I figured that the film would at least be found back at my home if we were ever murdered. Something I had seen happen during the crazy cocaine days back then.

Which safe house illustrates why no one stepped up to stop Linda from being forced. If they had stepped up because this film was mob financed – there was no where to run for safety before I had opened that first “safe house”. Which is why when considering”consent” one must also consider who is the “employer”. Because the film was a mob film - quitting wasn't an option.

I don't know if you've seen movies like “Charlie's War” or “Cocaine Cowboys” or even “Confessions of a Dangerous Mind” but I was dealing with sex trafficking on many levels in the sex industry back in Los Angeles in the 1980's. We had the cousins who were dubbed the “Hillside Strangler” by the media who in reality started out as two pimps. They would kidnap woman right off the street – rape, beat, torture them – and then once done with them they'd lock them in a motel room where they're pimp them for a few weeks before letting them go.

Why? Because to quote one cop “the word of a whore is worthless to get a warrant”. Predators knew this – so the best way to make the world not care about us and our word “worthless” was to turn their victims into “prostitutes”. They of course escalated into murder. But the police didn't really go after them until they started murdering”non-prostitutes”. That needs to change also.

Which is why the sex industry has more trafficking victims inside of it than say the Tobacco industry – because people's view of it as something “sexual” vs. just being an “industry” means those in that industry are not given the full protections under the law that are afforded people in other industries.

Let's look at an enterprise that was “trafficking” vs. “sex work” or even “pimping”. Chuck Barris was producing “The Dating Game” while also acting as a CIA agent. Back then we didn't have the internet, video phones, etc. To get film of beautiful women – they were taken into casting auditions. Those who had no family, and no one to ask questions about their disappearance – had paperwork arranged for them to go on “dates” in other countries that no one ever thought to follow up on who didn't return.

Other attractive women found during scouting were encouraged to register to work at an escort service being run by LAPD called “Talk of the Town” on the set. Their “hourly” rate as escorts was then billed as “extra's” or “model's”. Now you can imagine trying to tell someone about this – and you'd see what I mean about how people would think you were “crazy”. But this was sex trafficking – and something we needed to have this country recognize as such to help women. While what Chuck did was PIMPING – what Barris did was TRAFFICKING.

Now in the 1970's and 80's Linda could have called 911 for help with her pimp and received it. No – I take that back. While the laws were on the books to have theoretically helped her had she called the truth is if she had called then the police, the courts, shelters, victim assistance programs, etc. would have refused to help her then because she was a “prostitute”. That's because we apply the law differently in this country depending on how we feel morally about the victim. Which again becomes the issue that changing the law here isn't the answer. The laws exist already. The problem is when it's not being applied because of the victim being a “prostitute”. Meaning that one step to helping this situation is to start applying our laws, and offering resources, no matter who the victim, or the job, is.

Who would not have been helped back then was victims of this whole network involving Chuck Barris, the Dating Game, and Talk of the Town. I had tried going to the police who said no laws were on the books to be able to help these women. To cope with the stress of this – the mental health system was also ill-equipped then to help us victims. So this whole situation here was why I had to set up that warehouse for victims we had helped escape the situation because these were some seriously “bad dudes” for one. Especially because they were (1) men within our own government, (2) men who were our own law enforcement, and (3) men who were rich, powerful, and famous. We've seen an example of how rape could go on right under everyone's noses with Bill Cosby. Well this is how sex trafficking continues to go on operating right under everyone's noses as well.

Now as long as this country keeps trying to address pimping and trafficking as the same as prostitution AND trying to exclude “us” from being involved in the process of fighting it as survivors – you are endangering this movement to fail again just as it did with the Mann Act.

Yes we also had Iran Contra going on then – meaning the CIA was the ones bringing the cocaine into this country to generate “off the books” cash which was used to buy guns for the Contra's. The gangs were used to process the drug, then it was mixed with heroin and sold through the crack houses in south central Los Angeles. To get the drug however into the parties of the Hollywood elite – it was put into the purses of high-priced escorts who were dispatched into “high society” through the three madams who ran Los Angeles back then. The three was Alex, the Beverly Hills Madam, Cheri, who was the Hollywood Madam, and then myself, who was dubbed the “High Tech Madam”.

Because LA was having the largest number of serial killings of prostitutes in history at this time – Hillside Stranglers, Southside Slayers, Night Stalker, Green River Killer, Grim Reaper, etc. - and we couldn't turn to the police for help nor was the internet born yet then – I had found a way to eliminate cash through an office I used to as a “front” to be able to not only be able to take credit cards – but also to protect our security. For this reason, the other madams would screen potential clients through our security to make sure they weren't cops or maniacs by paying a “screening fee” and also I'd set up the warehouse for adults where they wouldn't be safe in a motel or a shelter. Meaning there was a difference being “pimping” and offering “security” for a community who can't turn to outside agencies for help. I bring this up because I'm seeing a lot of attacking upon the screening used in the sex industry as being the “pimping” because non-survivors don't understand the sex industry.

So back then I was seeing all types of sex work as well as all types of sex trafficking and pimping. I was also seeing the difference between “security” and “pimping” of which there is also a difference. There is a difference between a pimp and prostitute working together on Hollywood Boulevard to support a drug habit and men within our CIA who would come asking if I knew of a woman who I'd sell them for $25,000. A woman who had no one to ask questions back here if she went missing who they would give to a drug dealer to play with or a wealthy Saudi who liked “white girls” to seal an oil deal. Just as there was a difference between a network of traffickers who were behind women like Linda – who were taken from town to town to be sold as a prostitute, stripper, porn performer – any which way that product could be sold. If those women tried to leave – not only was their lives threatened but also their families. What's worse – others in the industry were threatened also.

With all of this in mind – you have to take into consideration in the early 1980's society didn't believe trafficking even existed. The prostitute back then was viewed solely as either a “criminal” or “sexual deviant” or even a “health threat”. Which is how it usually broke down then – the cops thought of us as criminals, the therapists thought we had a sexual addiction, and the churches viewed us as “home wreckers” and “health threats”.

So much so that in 1986 there was actually a Bill considered to put prostitutes on an “island to quarantine them from society”. That was another reason I stepped up in 1987 to launch this movement was that whole push where we were being viewed as a “threat to public health” and people were actually talking about rounding us up and putting us on an island! What people didn't seem to understand is that many of the HIV positive prostitutes who were out there continuing to prostitute didn't want to be there –their pimps were forcing them to be there. But another thing that concerned me with this quarantine bill was when law makers were talking about “us” like we weren't members of society. A “tone” of which I'm seeing a lot of now in the movement which also concerns me.

So when I stepped up on that first talk show stage in 1987 – it was to (1) promote the first hotline to have people call when they needed help to leave for whatever reason, (2) let people know we had a 12 step program for their recovery and where we would believe them about their experiences, (3) call out our society to change the way it viewed this situation so that we could start getting the help we needed properly for whatever our needs were. I say that because I'd been working towards my psychology degree back then also – and the only bits I could find in the textbooks only seemed to be a tiny blurb about the “junkie prostitute” type of character. Meaning even our educational system has to change.

Which was another one of my bones to pick – the whole time I'd been in the sex industry I had never drank nor did drugs. Yet every time I'd try and find help to leave the industry – I kept butting up against the perception we were all junkie prostitutes. Yet here I was driving up to my $250 an hour therapy sessions in my Mercedes 450SL while living south of the Boulevard in a house with view of LA. When I was arrested and the police came and confiscated my cars, furs, jewelry and cash – I want you to know I was just as much of a “trafficking victim” as the next one who might be forced to work in some Mexican border cantina handcuffed to the bar. So these stereotypes I've been seeing lately in the media about victims only appearing to look like street prostitutes and junkies concerns me. I want you to realize that I was a trafficking victim and so was Jeane Palfrey – so determining who is what isn't something so easy to do nor to do at a first glance and does require a trained eye.

The only way I could see to convince America to set up a system where victims of operations like Chuck Barris' was running was to first get them to believe me. I watched how Linda hadn't been believed – and used that to work from. She had started out by trying to sell her story in a book. So I then deliberately didn't “sell a book” or “make a movie” when I started speaking out in 1987. So this meant I kept the contracts that came in after I was arrested. When I reached a $1,000,000 in offers I went onto a Joan Rivers' show and showed them to the audience. I then ripped them up (while Joan pretended to faint). I said to Joan and the audience – I needed them to BELIEVE me more than I needed money. I could get money by going back into sex work. Meaning understand that I don't think we've even be talking about this issue had I not done things like this which cost me a great deal of money as you can imagine. Because not only did I refuse these offers – but I further had to spend over $400,000 of my own money to do work for these calling our hotline because we didn't get federal recognition until 2000. Meaning everything was coming out of my pocket back then and that this a movement I've heavily invested in and sacrificed for. Which is why I'm going to hope you're listening.

Now realize our hotline was the first ever promoted nationally for adults from any part of the sex industry, male or female, whether trafficked or not. Realize the term “sex trafficking” wasn't even coined until the Trafficking Act of 2000. Meaning from 1987 until 2000 – we didn't even know that word. But to give you a perspective on my experience on this issue – the National Trafficking Hotline has answered about 100,000 phone calls to date. Our hotline in contrast has answered about 500,000 calls. Meaning I don't know anyone who has talked to more people in more of a wide variety of situations than myself. This I believe gives me a very unique perspective when it comes to advising lawmakers on the issue of sex work and/or sex trafficking. So granted this letter is long – but I'm also giving you a much wider view on this issue than the story you're going to hear over and over again.

I'm doing this because I don't want to see what we did with the Mann Act repeated. Something I see we're very dangerously close to. I bring this up because the Mann Act was well-intentioned. The problem was however the lawmakers then didn't sit down and work with law enforcement about what it meant. Nor did the law makers give the cops any way to really carry out the law. Meaning the Mann Act was about women who were being brought in from other countries to staff massage parlors basically. However, the only two men arrested on the Mann Act after it was passed was two African American males who married white women. Of course the media back lashed about it – and basically laughed the law right out existence.

To not repeat what happened with the Mann Act – we have to bring this conversation back around to putting real live survivors, and the founder of this movement, back on the discussion table. The fact no one thought to include us to this discussion shows a fatal gap exists in this current movement that if not repaired does endanger it. As well we need bring back into focus what some of the original key points of the movement was about. We also have got to start talking about what modern day sex trafficking is in this country that I'm not seeing. I'm seeing a huge explosion of images of street prostitution being paraded around as “sex trafficking” in the media lately. I can assure you it's different and I can also assure you that I've been trying to get people within the trafficking arenas to talk to me about a case of modern day sex trafficking for YEARS NOW and I can't get so much as a return phone call.

First thing needs to be addressed is when a victim calls 911 for help SHE WOULD without any discussions about whether she's a “victim” or a “prostitute” or a “sex worker” be able to get help. To make these distinctions reminds me way too much of how in other countries you have to prove you fought “hard enough” against the rape. Again, these issues are much like we went through with rape and domestic violence back during the days when society didn't believe date or spousal rape was rape.

Meaning why I'm getting very concerned about all this emphasis on how someone has to cry “I'm a victim” in order to be receiving help in this current climate. Think about it – to call the National Trafficking Hotline right now you have to cry “victim”. Meaning that right now the ONLY hotline where one can call for help to simply leave sex work, whether trafficked or not, whether prostitution or not and WITHOUT CRYING “VICTIM” – is ours. Also, this movement is failing when our hotline is also the only one for victims to call when law enforcement is involved in the trafficking which is most of the time in reality.

One of the biggest reasons we've had to fight people in this movement through the ACLU vs. Catholic Bishops and the Agency for International Development v. Alliance for Open Society is because the church is pushing to limit help only to heterosexual women who have engaged in illegal prostitution who are showing “remorse” by crying “victim”. They are turning this into an abortion issue when it's not. But because we have insisted on making help available to anyone, for any reason, from any part of the industry, who may simply just want to “leave” - this is why certain people been trying to push us out of our own movement.

This tunnel vision that's crept into this movement to only focus in on the prostitute, vs. those in the sex industry as a whole, concerns me . So to the emphasis on only those engaged in illegal prostitution. The way people are being “cherry picked” as to who is a “victim” who isn't deeply troubles me. It's sending a message that help and protection is only available to someone engaged in illegal prostitution as well only someone crying “victim”. It's also excluding the males, transgenders, the LGBT, and those who may be Jewish, Buddist or atheist. That type of focus has been what's destroyed this movement every time in the past and is about to destroy it now. To further only be offering help to those who are arrested makes about as much sense as screening for cancer by looking at the list of who was arrested today for speeding. Trafficking exists within the LEGAL sex industry just as much as the illegal.

You also don't “end demand” for sex trafficking by arresting men trying to buy sex. They are apples and oranges. Most “johns” don't knowingly buy a man, woman or child, they think was forced. Most customers don't go “oh gee I need to find someone who is forced to have sex with me to give money to their pimp today. So limiting who you're offering help to offering it only to people who can call for help is almost an oxymoron. It's like saying you're only going to sell brake jobs to owners of brand new cars. Because if the victim can call a number and say “I need help” then they aren't in the position of needing help to escape trafficking. If you want to call it “ending demand for prostitution” fine. But these people have got to stop calling it “ending demand for trafficking victims” because it's actually siphoning resources away from the real steps it takes to do that job.

Which brings me to these “billboard campaigns”. Do you want to know where this whole “billboard” idea came from by the way? The very first committee we were on put together by Tom Bradley had set aside $30,000 to put up bus stop signs. I had asked for $30,000 to buy a van to go and pick up the men and women who were being released before they hit the “bottom of the hill” where the pimps picked them up after being released. The money was given to the signs because the guy OWNED A SIGN COMPANY. When I found out I marched into Bradley's office and resigned. I told him “not one person is going to be helped by those signs but a van could have changed things”. At the end of the year, when they saw the signs weren't helping anyone – I got call from Tom to “come back”. So that's what started this whole billboard thing – people who had no idea how to do sex industry outreach.

On the other hand, Bob Herbert, who used to have a column with the NY Times, wrote a couple of articles after interviewing me in Vegas. In one of them he actually verified what I was saying by DUPLICATING what I told him to do. He went into a random club first of all. Then he picked a random dancer. He says by doing what we told him – he found a woman saying she “wanted out”. Meaning in 15 minutes Bob found a trafficking victim he was able to help and send home by listening to us. Yet when the ATLAS program was opened in 2007 and their director reported at the end of the year helping ZERO victims. Our hotline however had processed over 300 calls from Nevada alone that year. For $870,000 they got in grant money for the year - that's a crime. But this is happening each and every time we've been excluded from the table.

ESPECIALLY since I'm not saying what I'm saying to try and obtain a federal grant or hold a fund raiser. As a 12 step program I do not solicit federal grants nor do I hold “fund raisers”. I've also been clean from all drugs and from all forms of the sex industry since 1985. I'm not on any type of psychiatric medications, no “medical marijuana” and I'm not a paid lobbyist. I hold no job within this industry I'm trying to protect nor advance my “career” either. I'm not trying to “start a house”.

Meaning what you hear when you hear me speaking about this industry is in fact pretty much therefore an “unbiased” opinion that is not being motivated by the idea of a paycheck at the end nor an advance to my career. I'm also saying not just because we've worked for so long with so many – that means nothing. But because our work has been EFFECTIVE. But since that guy who wanted to use that committee to line his own pockets – I've been seeing people come in trying to exploit this movement for their own purposes and it's threatening the movement.

I say that because I've read many a “report” lately where the groups being listed on that report as “contributors” were standing in line for government grants or using this platform to advance their careers. I mean do you know how many politicians I've seen come in waving the trafficking banner for a year, advance their careers, and then they're gone. That's not helping us! Which means also guess what? What I'm saying might be different than everyone else right now in line who is trying to open a house, get a grant, or advance their careers on the back of this movement – and for good reason!

Now we had to address the issue of “force” in our early meetings of Sex Workers Anonymous. Some were coming in having been pimped by street pimps while others were driving up in BMW's and living in mansions. We had madams, porn performers, strip club owners, pimps, and prostitutes from both the legal and illegal sides of the fence coming to our meetings. SWA has also had members who were drug addicts – and those who never used at all. Some members had pimps and some didn't. Some were trafficked – not pimped.

I can tell you Jeane Palfrey, who was dubbed the DC Madam, was someone who spoke about being “trafficked” while she was in our program. A fact she was trying to get across by releasing the names in her “Black Book”. Unlike what many think – she was not trying to release names of “johns” but trying to reveal the same type of trafficking that I had witnessed, as well as madams like Alex and even Heidi Fleiss witnessed. She was trying to show “proof” of who it is some of the victims are having to be helped to escape from – men pretty high up without our political, legal and even celebrity status. The fact she was murdered before she could testify at the ethics hearing to this speaks volumes!

Let me contrast with you for a moment. Let's take a street drug addict's type of drug usage and the drug dealer who is going to sell him $10 worth of crack. Then let's talk about the dealer who deals in “keys” of cocaine that he has to carry around in his gym bag. Up another level to a group of dentists I knew who banded together to get the paper done that brought in a large shipment of cocaine which they wrote on their paperwork was for their dental surgeries. Then contrast with the people I saw bringing in illegal cocaine on a boat right past the coast guard. This coke was in boxes which we then packed onto a truck I drove because they said “no one was going to stop a white girl”. This coke hadn't even been processed yet and had to be taken next to a chemist. Now liken this to the sex industry and trafficking and you have an idea about the many layers that exist within this world.

Layers that I'm not seeing addressed in this movement yet. Something I was trying to change when I started going on TV telling my stories, and well as bringing on other women into the media like Jeane Palfrey, Brandy Britton, etc. wasn't trying to convince people that pimps existed. They already knew that. What I was trying to raise awareness of was the fact that there is also a trafficking network run by people in power over us. So when Jeane came forward with names like Randall Tobias in her “black book”– she was setting the stage to reveal how this tied into TRAFFICKING – not as “johns”.

Because Jeane had seen the same thing that I'd seen, Alex had seen, Heidi Fleiss had seen, and even Kristin Davis had seen – which is men within our own government using the madams as pawns in a trafficking network where prostitutes were used to milk secrets out of men, blackmail men, set them up, etc. Further, we could not leave or refuse what we were asked to do. When we each were asked to do something we just couldn't live with ourselves if we did – we each found ourselves arrested, publicly shamed, then our lives “glamorized” in the media in what we believe is these men trying to push a “successor” forward they might be able to get more “play” out, and the cycle continues.

When Alex refused – I was flushed forward. When I refused, Heidi was flushed forward. After this, Jeane was flushed forward. This was “pre-internet” so the process has changed some since – but that's the way it was done pre-1995. Afterwards – if it appears we're going to “talk” about what we knew - we'd found dead hung somewhere like what happened with Jeane. The others take their money to make their “Movies of the Week” and keep their mouths shut about the whole story. Only Jeane had hoped to get the “whole story” out, pocket Larry Flynt's million, and have her movie be about not prostitution – but about how our government had been using her, and these escorts like Brady Britton, in their high levels deals that I can show you about over and over again now in the news as “real”.

Which once we got “federal recognition” for being “real” in 2000 – I have to admit I had no idea how fast this would be hijacked. Hijacked by people who want to turn this whole thing into a way to create more fodder to target lower-income minorities, and tear these families apart while throwing most of the family either in jail and/or foster services. This we've witnessed in the projects like Project Rose, Division 17, the NY Trafficking Network, etc., that came out once it became something where one could get paid. The police now go out and round up prostitutes in the same identical manner as the sweeps they've always done only instead of being called “sweeps” it's called “rescue”.

In the meantime, I've been knocking on doors for a couple of years now about the same network operating right now across the USA where the victims' can't speak out for help themselves because of who they're being threatened by and how. In this network, the people involved are also involved within law enforcement, and the trafficking “task forces”, and in some cases even Internal Affairs. Leaving me with no idea who to turn to in order to get help for the victims of this ring. In Wichita, Kansas, a few women were “freed” who then thanked the court for this freedom. Granted the judge, and arresting officer have received death threats for their trouble – but the women were freed.

That said the evidence of this can be used to go after the very heads of this operation. RICO was written because of criminal operations – you can take a few people out but the machine still continues. Well the machine is continuing and everyone is so busy chasing after street prostitutes – that I can't get anyone to sit down with me to look at this trafficking network because it involves looking at our own legal and political system. Problem is – that's the only way it's going to get done. If you're ready to take that on – and help build a system that truly addresses sex trafficking, and pimping, in all it's forms then please get in touch with me. Thank you for listening.
